My name is Sarah and I (Selmo Web Designs) am an independent web designer who can answer all your questions! I will take the worry away from you, and create your website to an excellent standard. I have relevant qualifications, experience and creativity, but most of all, I have the enthusiasm to want to get it right every time.
Compared to most web design companies out there I offer affordable prices. I aim to appeal to a section of the market that do not have the funds or simply prefer not to shed thousands of pounds. I offer the same skills, time and effort to create the perfect website for you at a much cheaper price.
My interest in this business initially came to light in 2002. When I began designing and creating my first personal website, which was to later become my longest running and most successful achievement. Needless to say the beginning designs were not quite 'up-to-scratch' but after alot of trial and error, I self taught my way to quality designs.
Selmo Web Designs was initially created in 2006 to act as a portfolio to showcase my design work to date. When coming up with the name for my portfolio I wanted it to be a little different, professional but still unique to me. I took the first letters of my first, middle and last name and that was when Selmo Web Designs was born.
In early 2008 I decided it was time to launch Selmo as a professional freelance business, so I could use my self taught skills to design perfect eye catching websites for not just myself and friends, but for you! Although, already having completed two business sites and a few personal websites, I already had the experience and drive to aim high and get my freelance web designing business well underway.
During this time I have acheived a City & Guilds Diploma in Level 3 Web Design and years of web design and graphic design experience in various corporate companies, where I created some of my websites and graphic work.
Today, Selmo Web Designs is currently once again a portfolio to showcase my design work - although I still take on the odd project.
